Trump Las Vegas
60Trump Las Vegas
Trump Las Vegas opened for business in 2008 at about the same time as two other "high end" luxury Las Vegas resorts (Encore and Palazzo.) Unlike these other resorts, Trump does not have a casino and is not right on the strip. This can be an advantage or disadvantage, depending on your personal preferences.
Trump and Fashion Show Mall
As you can see in the above photo, Trump is behind Fashion Show Mall. The address is 2000 Fashion Show Drive which is about a half mile off Las Vegas Blvd, closer to Industrial Ave. (aka Dean Martin Drive.) Travelers who prefer a quiter, less hectic atmosphere than most Las Vegas strip resorts offer should enjoy Trump. Travelers who like being on the Las Vegas strip and having a casino accessible 24/7 by a short elevator ride from their room, won't.
Trump Las Vegas
When Trump first opened I thought it was just another condo tower. Condominiums were the preferred development around the north Las Vegas strip from about 2003 to 2008... Turnberry Place, Allure, Sky, and Crown all offer condos for sale. Trump does too; but it's also a hotel. You can buy a condo in Trump, or rent one for a vacation.
Three Towers: Trump, Encore and Wynn
I seriously considered Trump for my last two visits to Las Vegas. The rates were lower than I expected them to be (check their web site). You can even e-mail them a shopping list and have your kitchen stocked with your favorite foods and beverages before you arrive! (There is an extra fee for this service.) Although Mandalay Bay and Encore trumped Trump for my last two trips, I do plan on eventually giving Trump a try.
